Syracuse-Iowa football game at night

That's right, the Sept. 8 Syracuse-Iowa football game at Kinnick Stadium will start at 7 p.m. It will be on the Big Ten Network.

Is this a good thing? Sure, why not? Anything's better than those lousy 11 a.m. starts. I will never understand how people tailgate at 8 a.m. or sooner.

To the contrary! For the Buckeye-Hawkeye late-start game last Fall, we arrived at our usual parking lot, Finkbine Commuter off Hawkins Dr. It was full by 11:30 AM. Tailgaters still start at 8AM regardless of game-start time. We were relegated to the Iowa softball field parking, which allowed us a more peaceful day and a late-afternoon siesta. The mess left by all-day drinkers in the parking lots were a lot worse!
Also please warn your readers this September to pack a mini-mag to light their path back to parking.... especially if they need to hike down to the softball fields.
Great blog, keep up the good work.
