150 things to do in Cedar Rapids

It's summer and there's nothing to do?!?! Come on, give us a break! There's lot's to do in Cedar Rapids. Check it out. Now, got any activities to add?

150 to do in Cedar Rapids? Heck, if you search www.iowa.com for July events in the Cedar Rapids/Iowa City corridor, you get over 500 events
in categories ranging from Children's, Food & Spirits, Music,
Sports & Recreation, Museums & Galleries, and Performing
Arts! The www.iowa.com site has had over 7000 events posted by
over 1200 organizations since coming online in January of this
year. Nothing to do in Iowa?!?!? GazWebLady has it right...
give us a break!

I'll definitely agree with treats from Sykora's Bakery!! Let's don't forget the wonderful Linn Historical Museum. Admissions have been reduced to encourage more attendance. There is a large variety of Linn County history depicted in creative displays. You may even find some bits of family history - we did - such as the Notbohm Mill which was in Lafayette (near Alburnett). Another gem is the genealogy library downstairs at the Masonic Library. Lots of family history and just information can be found there including obituaries and funeral information from all of Linn County. Go and Explore!

I am new here but have a question and don't know where else I might find answer. Perhaps someone here could help me? It's a queston regarding an incident over the 4th of July weekend in Cedar Rapids.

Looking at the 150 things to do list, I notice many repeats. How about weeding them out and making a true list of 150 things to do? Leaving so many repeats makes one think, "maybe they should have called it 50 things to do in Cedar Rapids."

Here's the thing there may be 150 things to do in Cedar Rapids but most of them are geared towards sports and theatre and museums. Not everyone likes these kinds of things. Some of us like adventure and exitement. Such as Waterparks, adventure Parks, Go Kart racing, Sky diving, Family events, fairs/carnival, Comedy, ect.
Not everyone plays golf, soccer, baseball or horseshoes. Not everyone goes to the theatre, art shows or museums. There is nothing that I can find for my teenagers to do at all. Unless they happen to skate board or ice skate.
